Intentional Parenting: Parents as CEOs of the home
Leaderonomics proudly brings to you “Intentional Parenting: Parents as CEOs of the Home”, a seminar on effective leadership in the home conducted by internationally renowned speaker, CEO and Founder of Paradox International and pioneer in Parent Leadership coaching, Dr Yvonne Sum.
Dr Sum begins with the premise that leadership of the family is not about the position you hold- it is about the relationship you cultivate within the family. Command and control management will not work with today’s families. Whilst we do sometimes follow because we are told to, the most powerful leadership occurs when we choose to follow someone because they inspire us.
Parenting that works in today’s complex environment has great similarities with leadership we’ve seen in the past in families, tribes and society. Dr Sum, drawing from both her research and experience, will explain how to lead effectively even in this ever-changing, often fractured, world over the course of this two-day seminar.
Dr Sum has designed this course to enhance your ways of understanding yourself as a parent, your family and your circle of influence in your home, and how to adapt in a shifting landscape currently moving at a rapid rate. It will improve your skills to better understand and respond to your family’s needs in context, influence and achieve results for yourself, your family and your community.
The learning of participants will be integrated through action learning, peer consulting and coaching, utilising accelerated learning technology, cognitive behavioural and self-actualising psychology. The facilitation is practical, fun and engaging and the learning is linked directly back to application in the real world of individuals and families.
