Dr. Marc Faber
Marc Faber, Editor and Publisher of “The Gloom, Boom & Doom Report” and author of the bestselling “Tomorrow’s Gold”. Faber was born in Zürich and schooled in Geneva, Switzerland, where he raced for the Swiss National Ski Team. He studied Economics at the University of Zurich and, at the age of 24, obtained a Ph.D. degree in Economics magna cum laude.

An angel investor at heart, Swee Yeong holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting & Finance) from the University of Sydney in Australia.
During the resurgence of the internet boom, he founded UnrealMind Interactive Berhad in 2001, one of Malaysia’s fastest growing mobile content companies with a personal investment of RM300,000. In 2002, UnrealMind subsequently received venture capital funding of RM500,000 from MAVCAP, Malaysia’s largest ICT Venture Capital organisation.
The company grew quickly and was achieving revenue of RM10 million and a profit in excess of RM3 million within 12 months. In early 2004, UnrealMind began its listing exercise and was listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange for technology stocks (formerly MESDAQ, now known as ACE) with market capitalisation of RM40 million.
In 2005, UnrealMind was sold to and privatised by Monstermob Group Plc, based in the United Kingdom, for RM50 million. Swee Yeong stayed on to manage the company for another 12 months.
Now, as a private investor, Swee Yeong spends his time evaluating investment proposals hoping to find the next star start-up to invest in.
