Harry Potter may be the chosen one to vanquish Lord Voldermot. He is the hero in this series but he could not have done it without the assistance of his mentors and friends.
These people may seem small in comparison to Potter, but without them, evil would definitely have prevailed over good and Voldemort would have never been destroyed.
Just like the epic Harry Potter, every organisation has its own supporting roles. These people may not seem so important as they may be holding smaller positions in the establishment. Sometimes they are overlooked as their role may not seem so significant or they might be people who are not very well liked due to some of their characteristics.
However, they play an essential part in driving productivity for a company. They may also come across as colleagues who are supportive and very helpful when a crisis arises.
If you look closely enough, you will realise that your company actually has some of the Harry Potter characters. They are caring, dedicated, helpful and trustworthy. Keep reading and see if any of the characters below remind you of a colleague from work.

Hermione Granger
Hermione Granger is one of Potter’s closest friends in this series. Her most pronounced attributes are her colossal intellect and her cleverness. She is book-smart and always follows along the lines of logic. She is very much grounded and level-headed.
According to J.K Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, Granger is a person that “never strays off the path; she always keeps her attention focused on the job that must be done.” She comes across as a bossy and know-it-all person who is always showing off her intelligence, yet deep down she is a loyal friend and is someone that can always be counted on for help and guidance.
Granger may portray a very strict and tough demeanour but she is actually quite vulnerable and has some insecurity in her. She tries to compensate for this by trying to be the best in school and trying to win everyone’s heart, which irritates people.
But once you get to know her well, you will realise that she is quick to help people and is compassionate. She is also one who is protective of her friends. People like Granger may not make a first good impression but once you get to know them, you will find that they are true friends who will go out of their way to help you. They will never let you down.
Neville Longbottom
Neville Longbottom is often ridiculed for his clumsiness. He is a below average student who is disorganised and timid. However, he is exceptionally good in Herbology, a lesson in school.
Although he comes from a powerful wizard family, his magical ability is not remarkable. With Potter’s influence, he develops his magical skills and becomes an asset to him and the Dumbledore Army. At first, he seems unimportant and insignificant in the whole series but along the way, one slowly comes to realise his importance.
During the battle at Hogwarts, Potter relies on Longbottom to kill Nagini, Voldemort’s snake which is the final Horcrux. He never wavers in accepting and fulfilling the potentially deadly challenge and plays a major part in helping Potter vanquish Voldemort.
He is someone who finds courage to stand up for his closest friends. He is trustworthy and shows courage and nobility. When he puts his mind to something, he gets into it and puts in full concentration to understand it. He is also a brave, caring and confronting (when a situation arises).
People like him are always put aside and not taken seriously. They are seen as mediocre people who are just average performers. They are often lost amongst the other dynamic performers. Nevertheless, they are the ones who will give everyone a surprise when they play a significant part in protecting an organisation when thrown in a dilemma.
Given the proper guidance and support, they can progress and develop many skills which can be very useful. Their courage and dedication enables them to perform and they sometimes end up being a great help when least expected.
Severus Snape
Everyone knows Severus Snape is one of Hogwart’s teachers who strongly dislikes Potter and takes every opportunity that he gets to put him down and insult him.
He is a strict person and is depicted as being sarcastic, bitter, calculating and cold. He is a confident person who is self-assured. He can be described as being “full of himself” due to his intelligence and abilities. He does not speak much with others and is a loner.
Snape displays a calm and collected demeanour and is a character that oozes power and authority. Having said all this, Snape is a very loyal person.
He may seem aloof and distant but goes all the way to do something for someone he truly likes. He is good at keeping secrets and is loyal to his allies even though it brings about negative remarks about him. He is also one who offers help when needed but does not show it and does it discreetly.
People like Snape are often shunned and not befriended due to their cold and distant character. They are seen as arrogant and are always left alone. However, they are loyal to their establishment. They may not display this but they are the backbone of an organisation and give their best when it comes to protecting it. They are people who are willing to sacrifice in order to see their establishment safe.

Minerva McGonagall
A professor at Hogwarts, Minerva McGonagall is a stern and strict person who does not tolerate students who misbehave. Everyone looks up to her with great respect and she is indeed a disciplinarian.
She exudes bravery, loyalty and is a very intelligent person. McGonagall is extremely adept, brave and a quick duelist, traits which contributed in the end towards destroying Voldemort.
Despite her strict demeanour, she has her fun side. She displays a certain amount of humour when times were bad, in this series. She can be warm and supportive as well.
People like her are usually seen as stern and unapproachable. They can be intimidating and others might be wary of approaching them.
However, they are warm and are quite a comfort during a crisis. They try to create a relaxed atmosphere with their jokes to keep others calm. They provide a great deal of support when times are bad and care a lot for their colleagues. They are honest and not afraid to speak their mind when asked for an opinion or thought. If they find you right, they will go all the way to support you.
