Task-oriented is an approach in which a person focuses on the tasks that need to be performed in order to meet certain goals or standards.

Relationship-oriented is an approach in which a person focuses on the motivation and the general well-being of team members.

While both are necessary when working with others in a workplace, is one better than the other? Is there a preferred style?
