Professor Dr Halimaton Hamdan – Recipient of the 2009 Merdeka Award for health, science, and technology, for outstanding contribution in the development and application of maerogel as a commercially viable multi-purpose material.

Mohd Nasarudin Mohd Yusof – Winner of Malaysia’s first Nobel Peace Prize in 2013. He was awarded for his collaborative work with the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).
