I had the opportunity to speak at the Global Forum on Management and Entrepreneurship in Cebu, Philippines. The room was filled with more than 200 students who were studying “entrepreneurship” as a subject in their undergraduate studies.

Many forward-thinking organisations are launching all kinds of initiatives to crank up innovation. Their intention is good, but their execution is often not.
While there’s nothing inherently wrong with “organisational initiatives”, they often end up being overly-complicated, vague, and painfully impersonal.
