In 2015, the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDEC) created a new unit called Enterprise Development, and appointed Gopi Ganesalingam as its first vice president.

In 2007, Gopi founded Lava Protocols a solutions firm that is currently the leading cloud computing & social media specialist in ASEAN and a Certified Premier Consulting Partner and Reseller of Salesforce.com, Google Enterprise, Netsuite, Concur and Clarizen. He spent 8 years in the company before exiting in December 2014.

Prior to founding Lava Protocols, Gopi obtained a finance degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham in 1987. His career had him working across several Asian markets which led him to predicting that the massive ‘on-demand cloud’ market would expand across the globe and hit Malaysia.

Gopi sat down with Leaderonomics’ Director of Corporate Solutions, Sashe Kanapathi and shared his evolution and professional insights.
