There is not much discussion going on about people who follow leaders.

Followers should stand up to and stand for their leaders. This relates to the act of protecting, supporting and being part of leadership goals or the visions of the organisations. Also:

  • Followers need to understand their power and know how to use it
  • Followers need to appreciate the values of the leader and the contribution that he/she makes to accomplish the organisational missions
  • Work towards minimising the pitfalls of power
